Velma and Victor were Vultures who lived on Cloud Cuckoo. Now vultures have a reputation for being mean and moody birds, with razor sharp claws, hooked beaks and bad attitudes. With his black and beady eyes, Victor made a good vulture.

But Velma wasn’t like this at all. She was a sweet and friendly bird. She didn’t terrorise her neighbours or scare all the younger chicks by threatening to eat them. In fact Velma wasn’t frightening at all. She was as timid as a mouse, a bit of a scaredy cat, and she would jump at her own shadow!
