Toco the Toucan and the Family Party

Up in the treetops on Cloud Cuckoo, Toco the Toucan was hosting a special party . It was a party for all the members of his Toucan family and he was very excited. To my family he had written on the invitations. ‘I am pleased to invite you to the Toucan family get together, please arrive at 12 o’clock. There will be cake and dancing’.

Toco had decorated his house and piled a table full of delicious jungle food. There were lots of his favourites; crispy snakes and jelly spiders, worm sandwiches and sugar beetles! He was just putting the finishing touches to the feast, when his doorbell rang. His first guests had arrived. It was Toco’s mother and father.

‘!’ Toco cried excitedly. ‘ Toco’ they said. ‘What a good idea of yours to have a party!’ they said excitedly. To thank Toco for holding the party they had bought him a present . ‘?’ asked Toco. ‘We have brought some fireworks for the party,’ said Toco’s mother handing Toco a box of brightly coloured fireworks.
